The Three KISSes Indicator

I must confess that while I use RSI and MACD, I don't have a great intuitive feel for them and too often find myself looking up their definitions.  Indicators are always massaging the prices on the chart, but I want one that I can easily understand that is derived from simple things you see on the chart.

My indicator is built on three separate things, and to me anyway, is created in the spirit of Keep It Simple Stupid.  The three elements are

(1) How much of a price change from the previous bar
(2) How much above or below the midpoint on the last bar of the chart was the closing price
(3) How much above or below the opening price was the closing price on the last bar of the chart

I'm still tinkering with it, and although it can range from -1 to +1 it is practically impossible to see these extremes with it using a 9-Day EMA to smooth the numbers.
